----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear Friends,

Let me start with a few lines from the Event. Further information is being received from those who attended, and shall be sent for your enjoyment.
I would like to include the list of assistance if any was taken, and a resume that I would like to include in Circular No. 96. So I ask the organizers to send it to me so that all recipients of the Circulars would be able to look for their friends, especially does that live overseas.

Hola Giovanni:
Que sorpresa tan grata. La verdad es que a través de Ladislao y la página Web de los Mount "old farts" muchos de nosotros nos hemos encontrado.
What a surprise. The truth is that through Ladislao and the WEB page of the Mount oldboys, a lot of us have been reunited.

Estoy en USA desde 1990. En ese año cuando estuve trabajando en Maraven como gerente de Geologia en Maracaibo.
I am in the USA since 1990. That year when I was working in Maraven as Geology Manager in Maracaibo, I looked into my crystal ball and it said to me: "get the fuck out of Venezuela because the future will be bien jodido". So I took my family and moved to Baton Rouge, Louisiana where I got a job at Louisiana State University as a petroleum researcher. I'm still here and occasionally do some consulting work for Venezuela. However, for the past three years, with everything so screwed up down there, that all I tell people is: "If you don't want to loose your shirt stay the hell out of Venezuela".

Christian lives in Oklahoma City and has been in the USA for the past 40 years.

Ese carajo tiene billete que jode y ya se jubilo. That guy has lots of money and has retired already.

Brian vive en Valencia, enviudo el ano pasado. Se quiere ir para la mierda pero no se decide para donde irse. Creo que esta pensando en Trinidad porque le encanta una negrita.
Brian lives in Valencia, widowed last year. He wants to go to hell but has not decided where. I believe that he is thinking to go to Trinidad because he likes Trini girls.

Urbano también se quiere ir de Venezuela, pero como no le gusta a las negritas esta pensando en irse para Dinamarca.
Urbano also wants to leave Venezuela, but as he does not like Trini girls, is thinking to go to Denmark.

Siempre te recordamos. Sobre todo cuando ibamos para tu casa en Pertigalete.
We always remember you. Especially when we went to your house in Pertigalete.

Estoy en contacto con Urbano, Peter Morvay, Pradita y muchos otros de los Mount Boys.
I am in contact with Urbano, Meter Morvay, Manuel Prada and many other Mount boys.

También tuve la grata sorpresa de un email de Csaba Jacobszen lo cual me contento muchísimo.
I have had a nice surprise when I got an email form Csaba Jakobszen, which made me very happy.

Que hay de la vida de Pepe Bracho? La mafia de Puerto La CRuz esta lentamente reaparenciendo.
What is the life of Pepe Braggio?. The Puerto La Cruz mafia is re appearing.

Cada año he ido para Venezuela o de negocios o de vacaciones. Pero voy para Maracaibo y luego para Maragarita.
Every year I have gone to Venezuela o for business or for vacations. But I go to Maracaibo and then to Margarita. I tend to stay out of Caracas as much as I can because I can't stand the traffic or the malandros. Urbano gets angry with me because I don't call him. But the truth is that every time I'm there he is traveling somewhere.

Áfter the "referendum"???? and after the situation returns to normal in Venezuela, I will come down for a visit. In the mean time, if you are in our neighborhood you are more than welcome to come to my home.
Un abrazo,
Donald

Dear David
There is no movement either physical or communicational from those that in the past expressed willingness to go. Farcheg, Fedak, Prada, etc. I am not going as I have Nicola from TT, here as a guest of Victoria. And the short time notice, not of the dates but of the events.
I have not sent out the Circular waiting for detailed news on the event. But shortly I shall send out last week's and as soon as you give me a run down of the events and photos, this Saturday's circular.
Have fun and get me the list of those assisting and their email address if it is possible.
God bless

The last one I got was 91. I came in late on your e-mail list and would very much like to catch-up. Especially since I will be going to Trinidad for the reunion. Will you be there?
I know I promised you a lot of pictures. I have finally scanned and titled them. Will start sending them "manana".

So another Circular.
I need help from someone that has been keeping all the circulars, No. 1 to this, No. 94, so that anyone who is missing a Circular, may contact him, for those that would like to complete the series.

When I wrote the preceding paragraph, I felt like the editor of National Geographic Magazine. In their case I am sure that old issues are fought over, but in my humble Circular????

Dear Friends,

Today, we are at the middle of the Event, the 1st. School Reunion of the Abbey School alumni. Yesterday there was a Dinner, hope to give you a run down and photos, as soon as the reporters send them in.

Meanwhile I have the following emails exchange between Boos and myself.

From: "Peter Boos" <pboos@caribnet.net>
Date:18 Apr 04:42 (PDT)

Hi Ladislao,
I will try and get the information on Steven Tempro and John Dulieu that you requested.
The only Mount old boys with who I am in contact are Jon Golding and Jean de Meillac-both in Trinidad. I believe Jon has been in contact. Jean works for Terra Caribbean in Trinidad.
I hope that helps.
Will get back to you on the others.
Happy Easter.

Dear Peter,
Thank you for your report and your details.
I shall place it in my archives.
Are you in contact with other old boys? If so please tell me their names so that I may include them also.
Since you are in Barbados please give my regards to Steven Tempro, owner of Smugglers Cove, if possible take a photo or two of them and the hotel. I want to include my personal friend in the circular.
Also if you have a little time to spare, contact Helen Air, Capt. John Dulieu, owner of the airline, who is also an Old Boy from the Mount. Again I have no information of him or photo. Maybe he would like to advertise his airline.
I know that I am asking you a big favour but the circulars must keep on for a few issues again. Without articles I am dead.
God Bless

Thanks for including me on the distribution list of your very impressive circulars on Mount, of which I am of course an old boy.
The picture of the class of 1958 is a copy of one that I also have and I am #3 in the back row. I believe Rolph Hive is #4 to the right of me. It cannot however be the class of 1958 as I left Trinidad in 1957 to go to school in England.
I believe this would have to be 1955 or 1956 as after the Mount I went to CIC for 9 months before leaving for England.
I hope that helps.
Congratulations on the excellent work you are doing.

Hi Ladislao,
I was born 29 April 1945. My Dad wanted me to "succeed" and tried hard to make it happen! His philosophy was based on the "tough love" model.
I was at MSB for a relatively short time-no more than 2 years. I left around 1955,went to St. Mary's College for a year then went to the Oratory School, a Catholic Public in England from 1957. Several other boys from Trinidad went there too including Bernard Bermudez, Gordon Siegert, Richard Pierre, Aelred and Stephen Plimmer. I graduated from the Oratory in 1963 and stayed on in London to study to be a Chartered Accountant, which I achieved in 1968.
I returned to Trinidad in 1969 when I married my Barbadian wife, Jan. Left Trinidad in 1970 to live in Barbados. Have resided here since but visit Trinidad regularly. Have 2 children, Lara and Christian and a grandson, Luke who is 2.
Today I am Executive Chairman of Ernst & Young Caribbean. My telephone number is 246-435-6733 at home. My address is Hillcrest, Golf Club Road, Christ Church, Barbados. Will try and send a picture.
Please remind me who you wanted me to contact.
From MSB I remember Richard and Randall Galt, Roger Henderson, Michael Herrera, Michael Howard (great sprinter), Jean de Meillac.
Hope this helps.
Best wishes,
Peter

I even took the not msb line off. This was Nigel's input a year ago.
Now that we are correcting, please tell me if you did or whg, would have graduated in 1955? as the list says.
Do you have any telephone number? Address? A photo or two?
Did you contact those that I wrote you last?

Date: 2 Aug 19:02 (PDT)

Dear Ladislao,
Just to give you an update, Mr. Bernard Tappin (1961) contacted me today and he is assisting in contacting more old boys that he knows. I tried making contact with Dr. Bratt, however all I'm getting is his office voice mail. I left a message there but did not get a response. I will try again on Monday, but if you have a home contact number for him please let me know. Again it seems that we are getting a strong response from the older boys and I feel it is very important while they are only now coming on board their input into this event would be most welcomed and I'm using this forum to invite any suggestions these distinguished gentlemen may have to offer. Thanks again for your assistance.

Ps: this circular is copied to the members of the reunion committee. Please feel free to add their names to your circular if you do not have them already.
God bless,

Dear Leonard,
I have received information on our contact with Fr. Abbot, and we are making diligence to have the rest of the old boys informed, unfortunately time is against us.
Miguel has been receiving the circulars since March but he never mentioned any event. I mention this because Salvador Coscarart informed me of his address and the planned? event. I would have helped your cause but lacked the information that I published recently.
I have retained the circular No. 90 waiting for this confirmation, so tonight it goes out with the necessary haste.
If you want me to send the circular to your friends or those you think should get it, please send me their emails.

PS Please give Fr Benedict and Fr Augustine my regards. I hope they will both be there on the Sunday. If Fr Benedict has an email address please let me have it since I want to ask him if he has a scanner and a computer. If not I can lend him my scanner (if he has a computer) so he can scan some old photos for us to put on the website.

Dear Jon,
I hope you have bought rolls of film or new batteries for the digital camera.
Please send me the photos of the event so that I may include them in the circular.
Of course individual photos of the guys that we knew would be appreciated.
Please make propaganda for the circular, we need new guys in the listing, I am sure most are not in the list, so of course I do not have their emails.
I hope you meet additional friends, other than those that you already met.
Maybe someone knows about Bro. Vincent, PG. Wilson (there is nothing in the internet)
Also please ask Fr. Cuthbert for the address of Fr. Paul and Fr. Francis?
He told me that it was matter of going up to his room!
Ask Fr. Benedict if he is getting the circulars, I believe that the person at the computer is not delivering the circulars. If not then I must mail them by snail mail.

Dear Jon,
How are you?
I hope that TT is as you thought it would be?
I have not written to you before, as I know that if you had any information you would send it along, or can it be that you are not receiving the Circulars????
Well just let you know we are still trying to get MSB old boys a rerun.

Greetings to all you used up (some of us any way) Mount boys. I may surprise you all and make it to the interesting planned reunion to meet you all after so many years and reminisce about those good old days at "The Rock". I'll be giving Ladislao a call today to get the inside scoop!!
My best regards to you all,

Dear Brian and Mount Gentlemen (Sounds better than Mount Boys):
According to Salvador's note below, and Ladislao's last Circular with all the planned activities, the reunion in Trinidad appears to be a done deal. I'm very sorry to say that I will not be able to attend. Christian, my family, and I just got back from holidays in Mexico. Unfortunately, the long distance away and because of work commitments at that time, I cannot join you guys. What I will miss the most is getting involved in the stories about the old days (that will be somewhat exaggerated by most). If Brian, Urbano, Pradita, Ladislao and Che Che go, don't believe anything they say because they are all fulltime Chavistas in the Venezuelan government. However, most of these gentlemen from the Venezuelan contingent have been considering leaving Venezuela and are looking to settle in the West Indian Islands, preferably Trinidad. This Venezuelan invasion to Trinidad is coming soon so please pass this email to our Trini friends and other Mount Boys so that they will be prepared. Soon our good steel band and calypso will be replaced by salsa and merengue music and Spanish will become the main language. This invasion of Latin-Americans that occurred in Miami and in Houston is so strong that they are now displaying signs in store windows that say "English spoken here". Anyway have a great time and give us all the good news afterwards.
Best wishes to all,
Don Goddard

Dear Friends,

Slowly we are getting feedbacks from our friends in TT. This is the latest exchange so that you may get fresh information.

Would you believe Father Francis just called and confirmed! Seems the event is being organized by a group from the 80's.
I will talk to Roger this afternoon and see if he and his group are interested.

Caracas, 29 of July 2003.

Dear David,
Thank you for the effort and diligence.
I have thought that the best way of action would be to get into the event as per organizers.
And parallel get a reunion for Saturday for the rest of us? Maybe at the Mount restaurant, lunch in the afternoon and a cocktail? This to get together with the priests, specially the old ones, our teachers. Who knows what else can be done, then the reunion would be universal.
Any ideas? Can you ask Roger? It would be good for us to get together on Saturday as the event does not have a program for this date.
Urbano and Farcheg are pushing for this, please get into contact with them if you think that the idea I have given would be possible.
God Bless
Ladislao

Dear Friends,
Much as I would like to attend, I cannot make it to the reunion. I am living in England (and will be here for at least three years more, I think) and unfortunately cannot make a trip to TT this year.
Enjoy the event!
When it is over send commentaries and evidence!
I look forward to hearing about it.

Hi Ladislao,
There is an Ole boys Reunion planned for August 2003. I understand tickets for the three day event will go on sale from this month. I am not sure who the organizers are but I know that tickets will be available at the Mount. I would suggest that all interested parties call the Mount to order or reserve tickets.
Keep up the good work .... we all look forward to the circulars.
Take care
Michael.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
With only two week away from the Event, I still do not have detailed information from the TT organizers, to give you.
Please remember that for those travelling from other countries or islands, this information is important as I am sure there is going to be a lot of family reunions in between the events of the Event.

God Bless
